2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. Selective High School - Information

Selective high schools cater for the specific needs of high achieving gifted students who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic and social level. Selective schools help gifted and talent students to learn by grouping them with other gifted and talented students, teaching them in specialised ways and providing educational materials at the appropriate level. PSSA Touch Football

Congratulations to our LMPS girls and boys touch football teams. They tried their very best competing at the PSSA Touch Football Knockout Competition at Blue Haven on Wednesday. The girls were knocked out at Round 3, and the boys won two of their games and knocked out at Round 5 – a very close match! All students should be very proud of their efforts. NDIS continues its roll out across NSW

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in NSW in July 2016, rolling out across half of the state. The rollout for the rest of NSW started on 1 July 2017 and the NDIS will be fully rolled out by mid 2018. The NSW government is writing to the families of children and young people with disability who currently receive disability supports in the rollout areas to advise how and when they will enter the NDIS. Infants Athletics Carnival

Infants Athletics Carnival On Thursday the 10th of August we had our Infants Athletics Carnival at Lake Munmorah PS. The sun was shining and we were set for a great day. The infant's students participated in six activities which consisted of 100m sprint, high jump, long jump, three legged races, javelin and the classic egg and spoon race. Primary Athletics Carnival

On Wednesday, all of our primary students (and some very brave 8 year olds) participated in our School Athletics Carnival. The sun shone all day at Warnervale Oval. Our students were given the opportunity to take part in running, discus, high jump and long jump events. Looking around, it was promising to see lots of smiling faces. Our students tried their very best, and were extremely encouraging and supportive of each other. What fantastic attitudes! NAPLAN Online School readiness test

NSW schools will participate in the NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test from 14 August to 22 September. There is a lot of information for schools, students and parents on the NAPLAN Online transition website. The school readiness test is a ‘practice run' for schools to assess their technology as we prepare to transition to NAPLAN Online. It provides an opportunity for schools to become familiar with the NAPLAN Online assessment platform but is not an assessment of student ability.... Read more

Congratulations to our Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Finalists Harper Allsop, Tamsin Conti, Brandy Simpson and Asher Francais. On Thursday, our four finalists represented our school at the Zone Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition.
